09-01-2009 Program at Muni School-5 Shahpur, Ahmedabad

One more program in series is successfully completed. As usual, students of 7th standard reached before we reached the venue. They helped Jigar Darji, Urvi Vyas & Stephen to put posters and banners in place.

When we saw only one third presence and asked the principal, she replied that you are lucky to have these many kids. Factually, they come from very poor class, the parents do not allow them to go to school routinely even. But as there was announcement to show sky through telescope and some slides, these many have come. It is really sad.

Again we started with Lunar observation, and they were amazed to see the craters. During multimedia session of solar system, they answered nicely. One teacher brought her child, who was studying in other school in 9th standard, answered many questions. When they new a feature called 'Scooter' on Neptune, they started imitating like driving automobile scooter :)

The session overall was very nice. Prize winning boys were very happy. Once again Jigar & Stephen did wonderful job and last but not the least, my wife Urvi helped me and resources till end, along with photographic documentation.
