Hi All,
Once again, the program at Municipal school was really encouraging. As they curiously observed all the posters of the celestial bodies of solar system in Gujarati language, the inquisitiveness to see the Moon through the telescope was very well visible from their face. The school building's design was very interesting. All the classes were in circle and there was an open area in middle. The Moon today was beautifully visible from that opening. Students and teachers enjoyed observation and gathered in a classroom where, along with my wife Urvi, Jigar Darji & Stephen Samuel arranged projector, screen, banners, etc nicely.
There was one quick answering student Manish Parmar who fetched 1st prize of hanging solar system. Out of 74 students and 7 teachers, he really amazed us with his eagerness to answer. When they were asked "what are dark spots on Sun's disk known as?"; nearly all answered 'Black hole', which we corrected with "Sunspots" !! It was really nice time today with them all.
My special thanks to Smt. Kirpaben H Patel, who set down on floor with students who set on floor and was encouraging all to answer my questions. We were offered tea as we came but then once they enjoyed the program, one teacher (I do not know her name) went home and brought coffee for all of us. That's the Indian Tradition for Guests!!

1. Venue : Municipal School No: 16, Ellis bridge, Ahmedabad
2. Date : 7th January, 2009
